From the commencement of 2024, Google Drive will cease support for third-party cookies, a move that aligns with the recent trend among web browsers. This modification is primarily driven by privacy concerns and aims at reinforcing user security.

The crux of the change lies in the transition from third-party cookies to first-party cookies when downloading files from Google Drive. This shift ensures that your metadata or information will not be accessible to external entities that might be tracking your digital activity.
